Mercè Bessó – SCULPTURER
The beauty of the human body born from the artist's love
My passion is sculpture, being able to caress it with my gaze and build it from within me capturing its life, its palpitation. My goal is to make clay, stone, wood, bronze, which are inert materials, change their nature and begin to emit life. Serenity, subtlety, all the small details that add up is my goal. At the same time that I fulfill myself as a person and as an artist, I transmit life in my figures to that spectator who is receptive and grasps their internal palpitations from their external form. My sculpture becomes a dialogue without words that goes from within the artist through the shape of the figure so that the spectator captures their palpitations and gets excited when the magic of artistic communication occurs.
